| A Message from the Club President |

I would like to start by welcoming everyone to our site! I am glad that you are interested in our club’s projects and activities. When I first agreed to be President, my thoughts were,"Oh, this will be a walk in the park"! Then I started attending District meetings and I would hear of humanitarian efforts around the world and even in our back yards and it made me realize the importance of my position. I wanted our club to somehow make a difference in our community.
The Rotary International Theme this year is Make Dreams Real, by which we intend to reduce child mortality by combating disease, hunger, and poor sanitation around the world.. As a small club, Moravia Rotary has embarked upon a joint venture with the local 4-H and FFA clubs to provide fresh, healthy vegetables to families that otherwise might not be able to enjoy them. Our three clubs are working together to grow and harvest vegetables in our community vegetable garden and then deliver them to the local food pantry for distribution. This effort will ensure that children in our community will have the opportunity for a healthier lifestyle. This project is typical of Moravia Rotarians' creative approach to community service.
I would like to extend an open invitation to anyone who might be interested in learning more about Rotary to join us at Coffee 'n Cream on Tuesdays at 6:00P.M. Please use the contact form to let us know of your interest. We are always looking for new members with exciting new ideas, so that we may better serve our community.
